The health and safety of our customers and employees has always been the leading priority of our team here at Golden Leaf Electrical. With the COVID-19 situation escalating, we want to be in communication with you about the precautions we are taking to ensure the wellbeing of the entire Golden Leaf Electrical family.
Golden Leaf Electrical continues to closely monitor the developing COVID-19 situation. The government has reassured citizens that the risk to British Columbia remains low. However, we have implemented a number of measures and enhanced customer service offerings to ensure both customer and employee safety and well-being.
Enhanced Safety Measures
Enhanced safety measures during appointments include:
- Appointing an internal task force responsible for implementing and enforcing all safety measures and cleanliness standards
- Increasing sanitization measures for cleaning all surfaces and tools throughout the day, and deep cleans each evening
- Ensuring each technician carries sanitizer in their vehicles
- Promoting preventive best practices including hand washing and hand sanitization
- Implementing HR policies around sick days and leave which encourage staff who do not feel well to stay at home with no penalties
- Advising a no handshake policy
- Enforcing the recommended self-isolation period following personal travel for all our employees
- Applying guidance from the Government of Canada Public Health Services, B.C. Centre for Disease Control and Vancouver Coastal Health around best practices and recommendations
Implementation of 'No Contact' Service Calls
- Call or e-mail our customer service team to make an appointment
- Our dispatch team will contact you 30 minutes prior to the technician’s arrival
- Before the technician arrives, unlock the access point to your home so our technician may enter without assistance. Once on site, the technician will call you to confirm they have arrived.
- The technician will enter your home and start working, keeping you updated via phone calls.
- Once the job is completed, our technician will call you once more to confirm that the job is finished. The invoice will be left in a place of your choosing.
- The technician will then leave your home and give you one last final call to confirm that you are ready to secure your home.
The job is completed in a professional and safe manner with no direct contact.
Our customers and employee’s health and safety is our first priority. We ask you to please take advantage of the above service offerings if you have travelled out of the country or to any COVID-19 outbreak areas, feel ill, or have been in contact with someone who is unwell.
